There are proper techniques even when working by hand. Participate in discussion or start a new thread with your question.
Post#2 by Mike mentioned that it can be applied by hand
while
Post#3 by Michael mentioned that M82 Swirl Free Polish is designed to be used via DA polisher or rotary only.
Perhaps someone who has M82 could look on the back of the bottle and see what it says.Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.

Re: Can M82 Swirl Free Polish be applied by hand ??
I apologize if I'm going to contradict my earlier post, but M82 can indeed be used by hand. I believe I had some older information at hand when I made that earlier post.
Even our 2009 catalog and current tech bulletin for M82 state use by hand, orbital, D/A and rotary.Michael Stoops

My guess is that all Michael Stoops was doing was pointing out the specific distinctions for how they were formulated to be used.
If you look at the back label of M82 it will also state that it can be used by hand.
Note: The label on both of these bottles shows a guy using a rotary buffer, that's a visual indicator as to how best results are obtained using the products.
Are you trying to remove swirls out of a clear coat finish?
If so, and you're working by hand then the fastest and most effective way to do this will be with one of the below,
Swirl and Scratch Removers
Ultimate Compound
ScratchX 2.0
SwirlX
Most aggressive to least aggressive -->
or
M105 Ultra Cut Compound now for DA Polishers!
M105 Ultra-Cut Compound - New Formula DA Polisher Approved
What are you working on?
What are you trying to accomplish?

Tuck91....Thank for your kindness.
Michael... That ok.No worry man. Just need a clarification.
Mike....I was looking at removing water spot( my main goal) & swirl mark from my daily usage Toyota family car. (24 hrs exposed to elements). If you have take note of my posts in other thread, i intend to use the M105 [ if i could got hold of some samples] or Ultimate compound [ need a few more months to hit my shore ] by hand for the removal of water spot.
Meantime, while learning from this great forum, its seems like i may need to have a mild polish (M205, M82)after M105/UC.
so i decide to get more information about them.. thus chance upon those 2 thread that confused me.
Hope my lengthly & poor explanation will not confused you.

It's hard to wait for new products to get to your country especially since they make the job so much easier.
Until our new products to make their way to you, if you want you can try using ScratchX version 1, it's not as fast or effective as our new ScratchX 2.0 but we've been using it for removing things like water spots our of paint for years and it should be available in your area.

I did tried with scratchX, but then it is not easy to remove those etched water spot by hand.it really need a lot of patience n elbow grease.
since i chanced upon this forum, i was thinking that i may try on the M105/UC if i got the chance....at least i knew it will remove the water spot more effectively & faster.
