  • Line me up with the correct stuff please!

First of all, thanks again for lining me up with the correct products to use on my bass boat...this site & ya'lls help made things really simple.

Now for my truck & my wife's car. Both vehicles have great paint & look good. I am not worried about any swirls at the moment but am wanting to get as much shine & protection as I can before the winter sets in.

Which products do I need to use from start to finish? I definately do NOT want to clay the car but if there is a liquid cleaner type product that is easy to use, I am all for it. KEEP IN MIND ALL THIS WILL BE BY HAND! I do have a cheap orbital buffer I could probably use but probably just for the final buffing.

    Thanks guys!

If all you want to do is protect the finish, then after you wash and dry it, use NXT Tech Wax 2.0.

hiya, things to consider could be start using 2 bucket method as inflicting more swirls will mute the colour in the long term, use a washmitt instead of a sponge. Also claying will make all following work much easier.

Gold Class or Nxt Gen Shampoo
Deep Crystal 1 - paint cleaner
      DC2- polish
      Nxt Gen Wax

the above should show a nice improvement, you may need some applicators to apply them as only NxtGen Wax comes with one. if you are looking for durability there is #16 in the professional line (this would come after the last step).

if time is short then a wash and wax will do.

Follow the above advice and your car will look good.

Just a word or two about claying. It is relatively simple to do. I know I was intimidated by it at first. But Once I got started it was a simple process and took about a half hour of my time. The result was worth it. It makes a huge improvement in your finished work. I would clay if I was you. Just my 0.02 worth.

If they have never been clayed... they probably need it. I know I thought I knew what a smooth surface was when I started, then I clayed anyway, and learned what smooth was.

If you really don't "care" to much, just throw on some wax. At least you'll have it "sealed". Claying is a good idea so you get out some of the "fall out" on your paint.
