  • Megs NXT Spray Wax and removal time

When I bought the car, it had a good base coat of NXT Tech Wax 2.0. I hand washed my car for the first time and then after drying I applied NXT Spray Wax with Megs Even Coat Applicator. When I was buffing it out, it seemed like the wax did not want to come out at all. It was painful trying to get it out. I did put a thin coat and in some places I got some water that got onto the applicator from some edges and such. I figured it should not be a big deal. I applied the spray wax all over the car and then started buffing from the first panel I had applied on to.

Is is normal to have a PITA time trying to buff out by hand? Should I have applied on 2 panels and removed and then moved on?

    Thanks!

If you are applying a thin enough coat (and without the added water), it should be dry on the first panel by the time you finish waxing the last panel, unless the car is real tiny.

Remember it isnt an actual coat of wax, just a little wax and a shine boost, so it should be applied lightly, almost like a QD spray, not like a coat of liquid wax.

Using Meguiar's Even Coat Applicator to apply NXT Spray Wax

Apply a thin coat, allow to dry and wipe off. Used correctly it's a breeze to use and used to be one of my personal favorite products. Since introducing Ultimate Quik Detailer, with this product you can get the same results without having to let a film dry first.
