  • Pre-wax cleaner for a NEW car?

I have a new car with minor swirling and I like to re-do a wax job

1)Which of the following is best used as a pre-wax/cleaner/filler step for a NEW car that has the least abrasiveness on a previously sealed/waxed surface? Ie I like to clean the old product off and use new wax.

    a)Meg's 9
    b)Meg's Medallian Premium Paint Cleaner
    c)Meguiars Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner

2)What is the difference betwen b&c? Also can you rank the abrasivness of the 3 products?

    3) Will Meg #9 remove old wax and prep surface for a new wax?

    Thanks

All three will work, if you're applying by hand then #9 is probably the most gentle way to go.

Remember, how aggressive a product is can be changed by how aggressive or non-aggressive you apply it and what kind of application material you use.

So for light cleaning, use a light cleaner or cleaner/polish and apply gently with a soft foam or microfiber applicator pad.

    Then go to wax.

Completely different products. M97 has been discontinued.

Order of aggressiveness when applied by hand from least to most...

      M09
      DCPC
      M97

This is just a guess but probably accurate.

Terry cloth will be the most aggressive and the least will be your MF

                Least aggressive - Foam applicator

                Medium aggressive - Microfiber app.

                Most aggressive - Cotton applicator

                hope this helps
