    dont u hate it when u go out to the track or just some country road and lite em up then cant get all that stuck on baked on rubber off your rims or paint or mud flaps (truck guys always burn out better) then try putting some petroleum jelly on wher you no rubber will gather or bug and tar gel oh any ideas to get tire off paint will b well recieved hit me back

    that works well....
    usually if im going to do something along those lines i tape up the portion of the paint with the painters tape and then remove it later. works well enough for my purposes, heavier rubber chunks leftover from more powerful cars may be better with your idea.

      i have the rubber from the track all down the under side of my sideskirt of my g5 gt from the drag strip and i cant get it off.

        Try spraying some Gold Class Bug & Tar remover on there and let it dwell for several minutes, then wash with warm water.

        In the future, take redhotchevy2000's advice and apply blue painters tape to the area along the rocker panel when heading to the strip. FWD cars throw a ton of rubber up in that area and painters tape is quick and easy to apply and comes off effortlessly, taking all the rubber with it. Nothing to clean up after.

          thanks for the tip. tomorrow is detail day for the car. we just got home from vacation with it and drove over 600miles in 2 days. ill post pics tomorrow

            before you do burnouts spray wd40 on the paint and in the wheel well and it will not stick. then use detail spray on the paint to clean off the wd40.
