  • Waiting time after applying touch up paint...

Applied touch up paint to deep scratches and rock chips on the bumper of my Hyundai Accent. The paint has blobbed up quite a bit. I'm thinking, after the paint dries I should wet sand it to level it out with the rest of the bumper; Meg's Diamond Cut polish; polish & then wax.

Is what I'm thinking the best way to tackle this? and how long should I wait before beginning the wet sanding?

This is a way I do it...I give the paint at least a week to cure, then kinda poke at it with a wooden toothpick( to see if had 'hardened').

Then on the LITTLE spots, use a rubbing compound. Here is 'the trick', I use small circles of foam pad (about 1/4" or so) that I glue to a piece of wood dowel. Just kinda rotate this 'machine' between you fingers to rotate and smooth it down.

For larger spots, use larger diameter doweling...

Does this make sense? Easier to use that describe...
