I've been sanding using a DA for a bit and haven't been able to achieve a pigtail free surface. Curious if anyone here has been successful with a PERFECT finish using a DA?

Re: Does anyone here color sand using a DA?
What sanding media are you using, how often are you cleaning that media, and how much pressure are you using when sanding? Our latest Unigrit sanding and finishing discs generally don't require a lot of water at all, more of a damp sanding than true wet sanding scenario. Whether using an electric DA like our G110v2 or a pneumatic DA like the 3M units we use in our Advanced Classes, these work great as long as you either flood their surface every so often to remove any slurry build up, or you quickly spin them against a dedicated microfiber towel to help pull any excess material off the face of the disc. But no matter if you're going with a wet or damp set up, electric or air powered DA, keeping things clean so as to avoid build up of debris is absolutely crucial here.Michael Stoops
