    how fast can I wet flat new laquer?

    I have just done a custom car and nice deep laquer finish so I thought I would have a go at wet flatting but I am getting alot of scratches that are not there at the time of wet flatting, how long must I leave from fresh laquer to wet flatting - mopping up wth compound, thanks
