This hood was resprayed about 6 years ago. The badge wasn't removed and the area under the badge wasn't prepped properly. this started to peel about a year ago. I had some paint left from about 2/3 years ago when I was making an exhaust cutaway. It was still okay,but just needed thinned. The paint color is a bit different,but given a month or two will darken a little. It will not be perfect,but better.

What I did was to sand down the peeled area,apply new color,then some clearcoat.I used a small air pen and can of air which was a little difficult to regulate.So,on one side is not blended as well. After a week,I sanded down the excess and then buffed the hood.












There are still a couple of these little jobs to do. One similair on the bumper,underneath the headlight. There are a couple of points on the edge of the hood where I can only asume was damaged by someone with a buffer in the shop or was like that many years ago.I can't remember. I'll be using the same process to do these jobs.
