Hi im new here, as you can see. Long story short, i spent a couple weeks sanding my car down and riming it for a new paint job. The color and shine look great, however there is orange peel EVERYWHERE.
I started removing it in an inconspicuous place below my grille, just to make sure i did it right. I used a DA with ultimate compound, after sanding with 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper. Followed up with swirl remover, and it looked great! After that confidence boost i did the rest of the bumper, then the strip in front of the trunk lid. Also turned out quite nice, after a few applications.
Then I moved on to the right front quarter panel today and after sanding, doing the buffing process i said earlier, not being satisfied, sanding again, then redoing the process, it looked okay, but still not perfect.
I was wonder if m105 would work better than the ultimate compound for getting out the hazy look, or if a coat of polish would clear it up? I cant polish for three more weeks or so as the paints only a week old. But i have quite a bit more orange peel to remove, and would like it to look good.
These products work great, and these forums seem friendly and helpful, so any suggestions would be great. thanks
