how often should wax be applied after wet sanding. I understand that sanding removes alot of your clear coat which protects the base coat from the uv rays. but i havent ever really thought of how often it should be waxed after.

Re: maintenence after wet sanding?
Providing you don't remove too much clear, you would just wax as normal.
Are you working on factory clear? If so, I would advise against sanding it(if you haven't already). Factory clear really doesn't give enough clear to be sanded. You're dealing with very thin material, and sanding will only cause failures down the road.
If you're dealing with a respray, then the amount of clear laid down, will determine how much you can safely sand.

Maybe educate them a little on car washing? The point being after you buff this thing out to perfection if they are not careful in every way the paint is touched, (washing means touching the paint a lot), that it will become filled with swirls and scratches.
Modern clear coat paints tend to be harder than traditional single stage paints but still scratch very easily.
Might recommend to them a quality quick detailer like our UQD and make sure they know to use good quality microfiber polishing cloths not old t-shirts and diapers.
Of course if you offer a maintenance plan then get them to sign-up for it and let you take care of the washing and waxing.
Does that help?

You might get their e-mail and send them this link,

Here's the direct code for the URL address which would be safer to send then the above HTML code.

Generally speaking, the waiting period is 30 days from painting, but consult the painter as it sometimes is as high as 90 days.
