  • Big rock ding, how to proceed?

Unbelievable luck, got this ding from flying debris somewhere on the freeway the day after I washed, clayed, and sealed my car the correct way. I heard a thunk - thunk and , but didn't get a chance to see the damage until after the commute. What a way to ruin what I thought was a nicely washed, slick and shiny car. How would you guys go about repairing something like this? Body shop?

    Thanks!

i hate it when you just do a full detail on a car or truck and it gets ruined by a new scratch or scuff

I think the only way to fix it is repainting

Ah, I was afraid of that. Oh well, it happens.

If anybody has recommendations for a body shop in the San Gabriel Valley, please PM me. Thanks.

Indeed, a body shop would be in order, unless you are daring and want to use some touch up and then wet sand it down, even then its not going to be perfect.
