  • Orange Peel, can it be fixed after 3 weeks?????

Hello all, can Orange peel be fixed 3 weeks after a repaint?

    or is it too late?

today I washed the car with NXT carWash soap and the sun came out and there was horrible Orange peel on where it was repainted.....

what is my time limit before it is too late for Orange peel can be fixed????

    thanks....

    p.s. what can I do?

It can still be fixed but the first question is how much clear did the painter spray?

The way you remove orange peel is you have to sand down the paint job and then buff out your sanding marks.

The harder the paint gets, the harder it becomes to buff out the sanding marks.

This is usually discussed with the painter before the car is painted so they know your expectations and you're willing to pay extra money for extra clear and for extra time and labor to sand down and buff out the paint.

If you've never sanded and buffed an entire car before it's usually not a good idea to learn on something that's important to you.

Orange peel won't hurt anything it's just an appearance issue.
