  • Wet Sander in Orange County

Iam looking for a good wet sander in Orange County, Ca. I have a new 2007 Chevy Tahoe (Black). I would like to have someone that will do a great job on a new factory finish or maybe advise me of the reason why i shouldn't take the risk.

    Thanks guys,

    Ty

A job like that will cost you about $1000-$1200. Are you willing to spend that?

If this is factory paint, then you need to remember,
          • Factory paint is thin
          • The UV protection for the color coat is in the clear coat
          • The more clear coat you remove the less UV protection for the color coat over the life of the car
          • Factory paint is hard
          • Sanding factory paint is easy (putting scratches in)
          • Removing sanding marks is hard (most factory paint is hard)
We could do this all day...

That would depend on what color your vehicle is, how bad the "peel" was and the "eye" you have for that kind of thing.

I have completely sanded many factory clear coats and they look awesome but keep in mind everything Mike posted.

It is kind of a give and take deal.

That is perfectly understandable for a job like. Tahoe's are huge and require a lot of work.

If you decide to have it done. Do NOT go with anyone but Joe (Superior Shine). Other places might give you a cheaper price, but no one will give you the results that he can.
