OK, here's what I have. Painted my MG with PPG CLV and have a bit of orange peal. I've started to color sand with 1500 and 2000. It's all smooth except for a few tiny spots where I can still see orange peal. These spots are VERY small but I was wondering if these tiny will be removed when I buff or should I sand a bit more? I haven't color sanded all that much and I'm affraid to cut through the paint. As I said these spots are very small and few. Thanks!

Re: Not Another Orange Peal Question .... yes!
nice question, but I think that's a matter of perfection.
the safest way would be using a paint thickness gauge and see how thick those spots are. this tool is expensive, but that can help you prevent cutting through the clear.
if you are able to live with the remaining peel, proceed to buffing the finish

Re: Not Another Orange Peal Question .... yes!
Thanks Chex,
Yeah, I'm not looking for perfection, just something nice. I shot the car myself with a gravaty feed HVLP that I never use before and I guess I didn't have it set just right so I got a fare amount of orange peal just bad enough to where I wanted to color sand. I think I'll sand just a bit more a go ahead and buff. Thanks for your response!!
