  • How do you buff these areas???

Actually I'm always wondering, as a rule for using a rotary we should keep the rotary pad away from the bodyline and edges, so how do you buff the areas that I marked them in the photo(assume 6.5 pad)??
I know it's hard to descibe the buffing process by words

    Never, rarely and very little.

High points such as edges and corner you should never machine buff with a rotary buffer, you run the risk of burning through the paint to easily and very quickly.

Painted body trim very little, only if it needs it and then not very much.

for the most part, you use the rotary buffer to buff out, the most of the panel, (I know that reads funny, but it is correct). That is the major surface areas. The minor areas you get by hand or with the dual action polisher.

    Does that help?
