special handle for rotary

An advanced car care class had some photos of a dewalt rotary with a special adjustable handle.


Question-- this handle is only for the dewalt, not the makita?

Yes, I was told that it only fits the DeWalt.

The thread diameter for the handle is different between the Dewalt and the Makita 9227.

Are we talking about Meguiar's cool adjustable handle here? It fits the Dynabrade too and I think maybe Milwaukee. (it doesn't fit the Metabo )

It isn't in the catalog anymore but there's still old stock floating around. You might try your local Meg's distributors. Maybe Meg's has some left in the warehouse even though they aren't on the website?

Anyone know if these will fit the Chicago Electric rotaries? Mine is the bail-handle style (more like the makita).

I bought one of these off the E-Bay store before this thread came up advising it did not fit the Makita. Well of course this was after I bought the Makita as well.

Would anybody happen to know where a good place to look for some sort of adaptor to make this handle fit the Makita? Be nicce to be able to use it now that I bought it.
