  • NOOB needs help

OK Ive seen these rotary buffer/polishers in stores.

Can I use them to apply normal polish and wax???

Im not really interested in heavy duty scratch and swirl removal.

I just wanna save time polishing and waxing.

If i can use it for this, what bonnet do i use?? Wool? Foam? Terry??

And if anyone has time, could u help me with some beginning techniques?

    Thanks for your help.

As a 'NOOB' so to speak, I dont think there is anyway that you will want a rotary anything, much to aggressive and damaging in the wrong hands... (even in the right hands).

The G-100, available through meguiars, is the machine you will want. It has an orbital mechanism, almost impossible to damage paint, yet will remove a lot of defects.

        Hey,

A rotary buffer should not be used on a paint's surface unless a lot of practice/skill has been obtained first. It is easy to do a lot of damage with a rotary in the form of buffer burns and holograms.

I would suggest the G-100 (PC) as it is a Dual Action Polisher and is quite safe to use. You can buy various pads to deal with certain situations.

Check out this forum on MOL, lots of good info on using a g100 aka a PC: http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/for...?s=&forumid=67

Its the way to go if you are wanting to save time and product. Anyone can use it and you can correct minor problems in the paint with the right products. Oh heah and it won't burn the paint.

I wouldn't give mine up for anything!
