A friend of mine is selling a PC 7428 in great condition for $50-60, he's including 2 pads, is this a good deal?
I understand that a rotary can cause damage if used improperly.
and I agree with Superior Shine. To score a PC 7428 is an awesome steal. But it's a tool best left for someone with some detailing experience under his/her belt. The rotary polisher is an advanced tool with direct drive rotation. This feature translates into heat buildup at the point of contact and can "burn through" the paint in you dwell too long in one area.
Re: Porter Cable 7428, what would you pay for one?
Thought a rotary should be used with caution if you are unexperienced it is not as easy to burn paint as one might thing. Being careful of edges and high points will virtually eliminate all chances of burning paint.
