  • Just bought another rotary to try!

    Hello Guys,

well its been a while since my last post, mainly because of lack of time, since the earthquake buisness went down to nothing for 2 weeks, now its begining to pick up again. i was at the hardware store and found this nice rotary, it was 47,000 pesos or about 80 bucks (chile is about twice as expensive then US) so i picked up and went home.

the thing i liked about it was that its small, between a DA and a rotary, wish is just what i needed, mostly for use in headlamps, pillars and small places, i will be using it with my 5.5 pads but it looks like it has no problem working with a 7-8 inch pad.

it also has a nice carring hard case:

it came with 2 wool pads and a foam pad, also like 8 sandpapers, but i just tru them outside, i dont like the cheap included pads

it comes with a nice D handle that bolts on with 2 allen bolts and a included key

and also a backing plate.... i will be changing it to a MEGS plate tho because the original is a bit big for my 5.5 pads.

one of the things i liked about it was the digital readout, you can chose the exact rpms from 1000-3000rpms with the dial. it also has a soft start and will hold rpms even if pressure is aplied (kinda like g110v2) the only CON is that it wont go lower then 1000rpms, but i almost never use my rotary for finishing or waxes. thats what my DA is for

i will be testing it soon on a vehicle, but for now, i had to make my box "CUSTOM" heheh

some field testing will come soon, iam not sure if these are avaliable in the US but for international members it could be a nice option

That polisher looks like a blue version of one of my polishers. Other than the color and the handle it is exactly in appearance.

They sell here for about $60. It works well but is loud. The speed dial is in a bad place as I always seem to unintentionally raise or lower the speed.
