  • Milwaukee AP 12 QE

I picked up this unit,Tuesday. So i'm really looking forward to a lot of work during the summer.

That was the reason for the pad Question. The chap chucked them in for nothing. He didn't know what grade they were either.

I think it's only available in europe.Seems to be of very good quality.I actually thought it would've been imported from the states, but it's made in germany.

This was the only manufacturer/model they had,but I think it's a good machine.

I think I can get some Meguiar's pads here.Which pads no.s are washable ones?

Hi Bounty.Got a couple of pics earlier.(Poor NXTTechwax2.0...not had the chance to use it yet!). It's a really nice machine.Very nice to hold aswell.I already started a bit on my 'AP' toolbox.I had a lot of scratches on top, which I wetsanded out.Not all of them.I don't want to remove too much paint. These things are never polished anyway.

At the moment,I've got a few jobs to do around the house(priority). But I'll be starting soon with this.If you want to know any of the Technical data,I'll put it up.

Thanks Bounty,Shyneman and My other PC for your assistence.

Eddie it sure does look like a solid unit....few quick questions:

          1. Where does the cord attach to? Can't make it out in the pic is it at the base/handle of the unit?

          2. Does it come with a side handle, bail handle, or both?

          3. Did you ever find out what kind of pads you got?

No problem.i'll get a pic tomorrow. It's a twist lock attatchment at the ball end of the handle. The cable is a good 6 metre.

            2. Does it come with a side handle, bail handle, or both?

There is no bail handle, just the plastic attatchment at the head.Yes there is a side handle...left or right.

            3. Did you ever find out what kind of pads you got?
No.I've no idea.I think they are good enough in terms of quality.I'll post a couple of pics altogether tomorrow. The one I do know, out of the three is a festool sheepskin,no.493 838.The other two are foam. It's a possibility that it's a festool aswell.

            I'll Get back tomorrow.

I am sure you will love it.

It's sort of like when the cave man discovered fire, it made him feel warm all over. LOL

It's not as hefty as the 5540,but the quality is really outstanding.

I worked for a company for 11 years and we were a dist. for Milwaukee and the only repairs I can remember were cords and brushes now and than. It should out last you.
