  • Rotary not stable near door lower panel.

Dear fellow detailers and rotary users,

I have done some reading on buffer hop and found that my technique has improved on the flat horizontal panels.

    however,
I have major problems near the lower parts of the doors (near the rocker panels) where I would have trouble reaching.

    -buffer hops like mad
    - sorry no photos of me in action
    - I have tried holding the rotary in various ways.

do you guys have a special technique ?

    cheers guys
I'd love to hoist the car up but hey, gotta improvise.

I'll either sit or lay on the ground as I keep the buffer close to my body with one hand on the trigger and the other on the head of the bugger. Works well for me.

Maybe you are using too much downward pressure.
Remember to always clean your pad.

Slow the speed down for hard to reach areas. Use less pressure, and take your time. You might also be running the pad a pinch too dry if it is grabbing.

Smaller pads will have less surface area and therefor create less friction, which means less grabbing, which means less hopping. Try a smaller pad if everything else fails.
