Just bought a DeWalt rotary, have some ????

I need to wet sand my car that I painted a few months ago. Single stage paint with a single stage clear on top. I did this outside so there are some bugs and dirt in the finish. I have a little bit of paint and body experience and I'm not scared to try new things. This is not a show car so if I make mistakes it will be a good lesson learned. I have watched the videos here and read many threads. THIS IS A GREAT SITE, THANKS

What are your recommendations for pads?

I am thinking the W5000 double wool, W7207, W8207, W9207. Which backing plate do I need for these 7 inch soft buff 2.0 ?

I will also be buying some Meguiars #105, 205, and #7. Once finish my LSP will be NXT 2.0

Does anybody still sell the adjustable handle for the DeWalt 849?

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am very excited to start cutting and buffing.

let me try to answer some of your questions..

the new 2.0 pads works great with the W66 solo backing plate. There's a newer backing plate - W68 specifically made for the new 2.0 pads which will be available in Feb09.

For the adjustable handle, try give Kevin Brown a call/pm him.
