    which one?

    ive searched a lot but am still confused on which rotary is better. I've narrowed it down to the Makita or the Hitachi.

    Which one has better control? Which is lighter, and by how much? Who has the best price on each?

    I want to place my order today.

    Did a little more research, ordered the Hitachi from toolup.com for $157.49

    So if I want to use my 6.5" megs pads, i need the W-64 backing plate?

      Yup, that's the right plate.

        where can i find that backing plate? I tried Autogeek but wasn't sure if that was the right plate, didn't list a part number.

          You should be able to order a W-64 through any Meguiar's pro dealer.

          Really, anybody's 5" backing plate should work as long as it has the standard 5/8"-11 threading. Any PBE or detailing supplier should have something that will work.
