Aside from pads and chemicals. You need to get a velcro Backing Plate.

You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.

And the more pads the better. ADS has some really good deals on Meguiars pads.

So I would still need to buy a backing plate? It looks like it has a polishing pad on there already. o.0

You would need the Meguiar's backing plate if you plan to use the Meguiar's pad system. The pad that comes with it is sub-par at best. The Meguiar's pads are phenomenal, however.

No problem. People do this all the time and they don't mean any harm, it's just that "we" have to put on our "Moderating Hat" and enforce the rules. Not a fun job, not even a job we want.

                Thanks for understanding.

For a backing plate. Is a 5/8'th thread and 6 inch surface compatible with 7336 porter cable?

Edit: Ooo, I want a pretty "Moderating Hat"! =)

No. You have to go for the 5/16'' shaft.
The 5/8'' fits most rotaries but NOT the PC.
