    what do i need ?

    am considering purchasing the makita 9227CX3. i would like to continue to use the megs 6.5 pads with the rotary. it is my understanding that the backing plate that comes with this makita will not work with the megs pads. what do i need; just the w-64 or is an adaptor also needed ? how does the w-64 connect to the makita; it just screws on ? thanks

    Yes, all you need is the W64 Backing Plate


    how does the w-64 connect to the makita; it just screws on ?

    Yes, the original one will unscrew and you can screw on the new smaller one and then tighten till it's snug.
