  • Metabo PE 12-175 thread adapter

I recently bought Metabo PE 12-175 but the spindle thread is M14 instead 5/8-11 therefore it doesn't fit W-65 backing plate.
Anyone knows how or where can I get an adapter to mate up those two?
Any help will be appreciated. I can't start trying the rotary buffer without an adapter.

Perhaps look into a "Heli Coil"

          Vincent,
          I, finally, got the adapter.
          part no 151530 from abrasives4sale.com
          Adapter M14 (F) to 5/8" (M)
FYI M14=14mm thread it's europe standard. 5/8" is US standard.
5/8" will definitely fit in MG backing plate.

Order one and see it will fit your rotary.
I imported 4 of them but I don't know why the backing plate doesn't rotate perfectly.
          It's jiggling....I don't know what's the word for it.

I previously ordered an custom made adapter and they couldn't make a perfect one also they probably ruin the female thread of the backing plate since it's made from alumunium (soft compares to steel adapter).

I should have bought dewalt 849, the thread is already 5/8"

          Hope this helps

Did you buy it online? Well, I'm not quite familiar with buying online, mind to sell/give me one? I live in Denpasar. Thanks, bro...
