what do you think of Makita BO 6040 model rotary? whats ur experience with this machine? is it true that u can convert it from rotary to DA and vice versa? please answer my question. . it would really help a lot. thanks! !

It’s been discussed quite a bit around here. Do a search on “BO6040”

It doesn’t convert to a rotary, it’s sort of a forced orbit, which is kind of in between a DA and a rotary. Bosch and Festool make similar units.

and also (if I read correctly) it doesn't offer you anything near the power of a real rotary buffer.

I’ve heard it’s in between a DA and a rotary in aggressiveness but I haven’t tried one myself.
