    Meguiar's Rotary Backing Plate W64

    Hi, I recently purchased the Meguiar's backing plate for my Hitachi rotary and didn't even realize that it had the pertruding center. I have mostly LC pads and was wondering if it was a bad idea to use these pads with the backing plate. I don't think it would be a problem because it seemed to still stick to the plate and the fact that the weight of the machine against the pad on the car would keep it in place. What do you think?

    You need to chuck the LC's and get Meg's.

    Just Kidding. If the button is getting in the way you can unscrew it.
