What is the best angle to use the rotary buffer?

    Re: Angle of Attack

    When buffing with foam pads,

Whenever you can hold the rotary buffer flat... do hold the rotary buffer flat. That is hold the buffer in such a way that the pad is flat to the surface.

Only when working on thin panels, edges, contours etc., do you hold the buffer/pad at an angle, or only use a portion of the pad to buff with.

same way, but gets trickier when doing vertical panels. it's just a matter of practice to get used to it
