  • can the Deep Crystal 3-step be applied w/rotary??

I've tried to search this out and haven't found anything.

I haven't gotten any professional line (will probably be getting #80, 83, 84, 82, 26, 20, and 3 to start with), and while I was waiting on that, I was wondering if the 3 step crystal polish would work with a rotary, as well as scratch X.

I've got a fairly scratched up car so start with, I was thinking of using 7006 + scratchX, 8006 + cleaner, 9006 + Polish, then step 3 wax by hand.

would that work, or a big no no?

Some people have used them, but it certainly doesnt seem as easy. How long will you be waiting between now and getting #80/#83? Might be worth it to just wait.

    EDIT:

    DOH

      I've got a rotary, not a PC

But once I can afford the PC i'll probably get one.

Whoops.. I should read better...lemme edit that to say DOH ..

But on the same note then, ScratchX and the DC products are going to gum or dry out up even faster than with a PC. I dont think you will get much working time at all with them.

Not having used professional line before, and only using an orbital and a rotary incorrectly, I'm not sure what the real differences are.

I guess I'll find out! the only thing that stinks is I have to mail order everything, as any meguiars sellers are a fair poke away. hrm, maybe i'll see what I can do, maybe I'll hold out. Not sure.
