  • G-100 & NXT GEN paste wax

It seams as if the paste wax gets pushed into the aplicator. So far I have only done the hood and drivers side of my truck and I have had to reaply the NXT to the aplicator quit a bit. I have used about half a tin already and I am only applying enough to leave a very thin layer so that I can barely see the film to overlap each time. Am I doing something different than the rest? I would of thought that it would have gone further than that with as thin as I am putting it on but its not.

    TIA

While I like putting the paste on using the dual action polisher, I find it difficult to get the wax onto the pad. I end up using a spatula or the spanner wrench that came with the dual action polisher. I actually think I end up using more wax than I need doing it this way so for now I've stopped applying paste wax by machine. The liquid is just to easy to pour onto the pad.

My opinion is the most frugal way to apply a paste wax is by hand using a foam applicator pad.

So my brand new can of #16 I should put on by hand ??

I was looking forward to dazzling the neighborhood !...I understand what you're saying by applying it with the DA...I'm still gonna try it cuz I just don't have the desire to go back to hand waxing after using the G-100....kinda like popping corn on the stove in oil versus the microwave

I agree with Mike - applying paste waxes by DA seems to use much more wax than applying it by hand with a foam applicator. I also think I can wax a car quicker by hand than by DA, especially with a wipe on wipe off product like #16.

I keep a foam applicator in my #16 tin at all times (just shove the lid closed on top of it) so it's always really nicely saturated with product in readiness for a bit of speed waxing!

I am going to start applying it by hand then. I do think that I am using way to much pruduct by using the DA. SO now that I am going to need to get the NXT Gen product out of the application pad I believe I should just use a mild dish soap and gently squeeze the pad over and over until its clean correct? This shouldnt hurt the pad at all should it?

Here is how I apply paste to my Finishing Pad. I have used very little in my applications of NXT Generation Tech Wax Paste. I prefer to apply this paste with the PC over the liquid version. Just what I prefer. I do agree it likes to work into the pad a little more.

Scoop some product out on the back of a spoon:

Here I am priming the pad so I used three spoon smears, this it the second one. When i add more product to the pad I only use one smear all are about the same amount pictured here:

Apply it to the Finishing Pad:
