I've had one for 6 years, and it works as well now as it did the day I bought it.

The pads are attached to the backing plate by velcro.

It's not a recommended thing, but some have had limited success with it. ScratchX was formulated for hand use.

Edit: If you're planning to buy your G-100 from Meguiars, then it might pay you to ask the rep about package deals that include the buffer. That's the way I bought mine anyway.

Just let them know what your choices of products are.

I'm going to be buying the G-100 from autodetailingsolutions.com probably. I'm going to have to order those pads from Meguairs though because that website doesn't have them.

We'll see how things go.

They normally sell them online in singles, sets and cases of a half-dozen.

Well I was going to buy the set up three. It comes with two 8006s and one 9006. I couldn't find it on their website. I found where they sell six of them, two of each pads but I dont need all that.

You might call them and ask, the WDAV99-B set is a standard Meguiar's part#.

Of course, since you're buying three pads the difference between their everyday price on three individual pads and list price for the WDAV99-B set is $1.90. Shipping will cost you more than that.
