I have purchased a line of Meguiars Ultimate products including the gold wash, compound, polish and wax. I spent 2 months deciding which DA polisher to buy before pulling the trigger on the MT300C with the Meguiars backing pad and a set of Chemical Guys pads. From the moment I powered up the MT300C, I regretted buying it. It is loud and has a lot of vibration. For comparison, I have a Makita random orbit sander, model B05021 that goes from 4000-12000 OPM. The Makita is as smooth as silk and super quiet. I am going to try compounding one of my cars with it and it the results are good, I'll return the Meguiars. I can't accept that it is so rough sounding. Maybe I got a bad one, but if quality control is important, that should never happen.
