What am I doing wrong!?

I received the G-100 on thursday and took it to work thursday night and tried to use it. Im caused more swirls then correcting them. I need some help. This is what I have been doing. Yellow Pad, setting 4, thin line from side to side on the pad, set it on the truck and do a 2 ft. by 2 ft. area. I would buff until it would start to lose moisture and I would wipe it off with a microfiber towel. I did that 2-3 times and its not correcting any thing at all. Swrils are still there. I have applied light pressure. I been using Dual Action Cleaner Polish. Is my paint too hard to correct problems? when I look at a area that I did the paint has a BUNCH of tiny swirls in it. I think that was due to the fact I did NOT have enough product on the pad and was buffing too long. I did fix that part, now its just working on getting the swirls out. Should I be using Speed Glaze instead!?!

It sounds like you may be working it to a dry buff. If thats the case then you will cause more damage than you fixed. Only work it till it starts to look thin in the area. It will start to look kinda hazy, thats when you wipe it off. Keep in mind the abrasives do break down into a polish, after thats done then you will need to wipe it off because your abrasive qualities will be gone.

The #4 speed setting is not going to help you much with DACP. It's ok to start out at that speed when you're spreading out the product, but the #5 setting will do a better job of removing the swirls.

Be sure to prime the pad with a lot of product (A large "X" will do), and don't be skimpy when it's time to reapply more product, except that it won't take quite as much this time.

Edit: One other thing, it's a good idea to take a toothbrush like tool and brush off any simi-dried product that collects on the pad from time to time.......I do this myself every 4 or 5 applications or so.
