  • Thoughts on Meguiar's Dual Action Polisher G3500

since i already have a cordless and electric drill in my work van i was looking to purchase this i saw online at a reasonable price. wanted to know your folks thoughts about this DA polisher or if you would recommend something else. since i have a heavy duty truck i decided in needing to get a DA to get rid of my spider web looking scratches. also would like pointers in which pads to use. ill be using m205 and Ultimate wax.

I would recommend you invest in an actual DA polisher. You will get better results that DAPS that you are asking about.

Agree with Guz. DAPS is fine for smaller areas. If you are talking of doing a whole vehicle, the ergonomics are not there on the DAPS. A DA machine is well worth the investment. Almost fool proof. The first time I used one was on my daughter's brand new car.

If you can afford it, get a proper DA, otherwise the DAPS is pretty good. Better than by hand

Also, try the M205 to start, but be prepared to step up to something more aggressive like UC if you want to remove swirls.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

          Agreed.

I got the DAPS + MF 3" cutting pads + M100 Mirror Glaze Pro speed and I was able to level out 3000 wetsand marks.

Mind you, I took it really easy on the 3K wetsanding (used as little pressure on the sanding block as I could).
But that combo will probably laugh out any swirls.

          Good luck.
