So a bit more info is needed here, something does not sound right for sure.

    1. What do you mean by "soak with polish"? You should prime the pad with a light coating of product on the face of the pad.
    2. What product are you using? The D300 Correction Compound or the D302 Polish? By the looks of the photo, and what you are describing, I'm going to guess the D302 Polish when the D300 is really whats needed here.
    3. Your DA is a 500w unit, you will likely need to speed up the OPM, increase your pressure and slow down arm speed even more. I will make 4,5 even 6 passes to get a good result with my 900w GG6 on max speed.

Be sure you are cleaning off your pads after evey section of work with a pad brush and / or compressed air. If the MF fibers get matted down with spent product and removed residue, they will not be cutting at all.

Here is a link to a page that I recommend reading and watching the videos on....http://www.autogeek.net/dual-action-polisher.html
And another specific to the DAMF system....https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=WhJYFLgIjhE

  • DA Microfiber correction system - poor perfomance, no defect removal

    Hello everyone,

I recently bought some things from the DA Microfiber correction system (microfiber cutting discs, microfiber polish, microfiber finish discs, microfiber finishing wax).
Now I tried it with my Kestrel DAS-6 on my '99 Lotus Elise.
The car was completely re-sprayed in 2009, so the paint is about 6 years old now.
I followed all the steps like they are shown in several videos (1st: prepare the pad and soak it with polish, 2nd: use ~4800 opm and 3-4 cross-patterns with little pressure at low speed, 3rd: wipe off)
But to my surprise, the defect removal was very poor, hardly visible.
In this picture you can see it (left = before, right = after).

I even tried to use the finishing wax after that, because the polishing did give quite some swirls.
The swirls disappeared, but there was no defect removal at all.

So, what is going on there? I'm really really disappointed...
