Hello,
I would like to share my experience with Rupes 21mm/MT300 using M205 & MF finishing pad. I utilized these products for my jet-black BMW 2008. It had minor swirls especially at the hood and some other places from washes - I always trying to keep in excellent conditions using different bran products. The main approach for me is to how to apply the K. Brown method to get WOW gloss from M205. Here is the approach I used:
I used M205 with finishing MF pad. Rupes12mm at speed 3 and 3.5 for removing swirls ( 2passes). Next I always cleaned the pad and at the end after 2 passes for each section I add little few drops of water with 1 pass at speed less than 3 (around 2.5). 75% of the car completed by using Rupes 21 and the other 25% was the new Meg MT300 (speed around 4800 and for final pass I dropped to 3500). The only difference I felt was that the Rupes as expected faster than MT300 but both felt very smooth and give youth feeling you are in control for what you do and what you expect. One thing I did with MT300 was that - for one section (driver seat door) I maintained the MT300/MF pad flat to the vertical surface and applied good pressure; I mean lean towards the door and as advertised the tool keep it rotates. However, after I finished the polishing stage with M205 I applied M21 sealant/MT300/black finishing pad (5inch) and add the Meg QD carnauba gloss for extra dark and glossy surface. Let me know what do you think.
