S3BP failed

Hello..I'm from indonesia..I just brought S3BP..I start using it just for 15 minutes for compounding, and suddenly the backing pad came off...It failed..the next day,I came to the shop and buy another one..This one, seems ok until the waxing step it came off and failed again..whats wrong with this backing plate..looks like the backing plate rubber to soft so the rubber break down and it came off..I use the washer as well as meguiars told..I feel wasting my money

It seems to be a common problem with this backing plate. Mine failed after 1 use. I ended up getting a 3" backing plate from Lake Country which is far superior to the S3BP. There is a new 3" meguiar's backing plate out for 2015.

Did the same thing to me, ended up gouging my own paint when it failed. I was not happy. Throw it away and bought the lake country 3: as well. Meg's you really need to throw out that design and implement a new one for it. Those threads strip out(woller) everytime.
