depends on what your trying to achieve, your obviously gonna get more cut with the yellow pad from LC and not as much with a "polishing pad" from megs.If you like my work please like my FB page

Hello guys I just wanted to confirm this was correct and I got this right. Are you not suppose to use Ultimate Compound with a W7207 cutting pad? If you look on the second section of the thread Micheal Stoops is saying that its recommend to not use it with a dual action polisher, well now I'm confused isn't that the whole point of the pad, or is it that the two combined are too aggressive. The Later I'm expecting is the case. http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...-and-Pad-Combo

I wouldn't use that cutting pad unless you had no other options...
Here is what I did yesterday to my Jeep:
I made the choice to go ahead and correct and or reduce the deeper scratches that UC wouldn't move so here is what I did.....
Put a 4" Megs Yellow pad on my G110 V2 (3" Back plate) using M105 and using like a dime sized amount went to it, this combo cut VERY FAST on 5 speed setting and either removed the scratches completely or reduced them to the point they are hard to notice.
After that I changed pads to the Megs 6.5" yellow pad and went back over the whole Jeep with M105.
Changed pad to the Megs 6.5" Tan finishing pad and used M205 and polished it.
Finished up with NXT 2.0 applying with Megs 7" Black finishing pad.
A little M105 goes a long way so don't flood the pad with product, I use a dime size amount on the center of the pad and move it around in a small area then turn on the polisher to spread it over the area. Work slow with good pressure until the product almost disappears, wipe off and move to the next section.. It leaves a really good finish with the yellow pad, almost too good.
Pretty much the same technique with M205 with the finishing pad, using good pressure and let the polish do all the work.
