  • New Car...Best pads/bonnets for wax

    Hello all!

I have been away for awhile but my brand new mustang brings me back!! My main question is what is the best pad for applying wax. I have used meguiars Soft Buff W9006 Foam Finishing Pad 6.5" in the past but not sure if that is the best option anymore. Looking for the most delicate pads. Also how many micro fiber bonnets should I be using to remove wax...as in, one get loaded up and switch etc...

    Thanks
    Darren

You would still apply with a black finishing pad.

I've never removed wax with a MF bonnet, so I can't answer your second question.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

You should be able to do each coat of wax with 1 bonnet each, if you applied the wax properly.

Just use a very light touch, don't work the bonnet into the paint.
