Here's an off-topic question...I have a Kenmore glass stove top that I purchased a little over a year ago. Over time it has developed some minor scratches and a few areas that appear to have a white haze. I contacted the company and as I suspected, had no idea how to correct it. I am considering using the DA with the Ultimate compound or polish to try to correct the defects. Has anyone tried this before..or any thoughts about potential damage to the surface?? I do not know much about these types of glass and whether there is any protective coating that I may damage. Thanks in advance.

I dont think that you will have much luck as glass is a very hard surface and ultimate compound will not correct it. If you want to polish out glass you might want to try jewelers rouge as it is made to polish very hard surfaces. That being said I would not polish any of the surfaces that get hot but im sure that goes without saying.Even the best cars look like junk when they are not clean
