  • G110v2 Maintenance

Hey guys, so it's been a while since I've been on these forums, but it was through the help of these forums that I started a mobile detailing business six years ago, and it was one if the best decisions I've ever made.

Anyway I've used s few different buffers over these years of detailing testing them out (couple different PC models and most recently the G110v2) and have run across different issues with them - most consistently the power cable issue that is somewhat easily fixed. I've also had a problem with the machines slowly losing power; I've always assumed that it was due to regular wear and tear, and simply a part of using the tool roughly 10-20 hours a week. Each tool has given me good year before losing power and eventually dying and therefore needing to be replaced. I usually have two on hand with me now at all times just in case one gives me issues.

Don't ask me why it took me so long to come back in here and ask this, (maybe I just thought it was easier to replace the buffers) but is this normal for them to give out after this much use or should they last longer? Is there maintenance that can and should be done to prolong their lives? And if so is this something that I can do, or does it need to be taken to a shop? I looked through the forums for other conversations on this, but was unsuccessful, so sorry of this has already been discussed, but just wanted to get some clarity on this.

BTW, the G110v2 is definitely the best model I have used to date, but I may be in the market for another one soon so any advice on better models would also be appreciated. Thanks to anyone that can help me out with any of this this.

    Re: G110v2 Maintenance

Can anyone shed any light on this? Anyone experience similar issues, or am I simply using the machines incorrectly? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
