  • How likely will I have the G110 V2 Power Cord Issue?

I bought my G110 V2 6-12 months after its debut. I guess that makes it eighteen months old or so. However, I have used it only about half a dozen times total in that time.

Now I read that except for the most recent builds, there was a power cord issue.

How likely will I experience this?

Is there anything I can do to help prevent it?

    Many thanks!

When the power cords did fail, they tended to do so fairly quickly. If your G110v2 does start to cut in and out there's a really simple way to tell if it's the cord - switch it on and then move the cord up and down close to the base of the tool. If the power cuts in and out then it's definitely the cord and replacement is pretty straightforward.

If you've used it half a dozen times already though, odds are you'll be fine. But, in the event something does happen, even though you're out of warranty, give us a call and we'll see what we can do to help you out with a cord replacement, even if that only means walking you through the process after you source a new cord on your own.

Cord is not a big issue. You can replace it if need be within 1 hr. You would have to go a long way to get a better polisher. With built in feedback to give you "Cruise Control" it does wonders unlike few others on the market. Some have what they call more power which is needed to give you rotation when load is applied. PC has many issues including the latest one of broken shafts, underpowered, useless side handle which strips. I done lot of research on Polishers and in my opinion G110V2 is the best in the price range. Only improvement that I could see is shock absorb, anti-vibration bail handle. Hard plastic handle is NOT ergonomically designed and over extended use could possibly give you Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

I guess I can try to be really easy on it and the cord. The half dozen times was only for say 2 hours maximum each time.

It's probably cheaper to buy a whole new polisher on Amazon than a new cord if it does go out.

As I had only used my polisher twice a year since I bought it (3-4 months after the release of V2), I think the power cord issue has finally hit me. I was wondering if there's diagrams or instructions or what materials I might need to repair it.

            Thanks.
