The G110v2 back-order thing is ridiculous!

I've never had anything to complain about with Meguiars. I've always been satisfied. However, I'm not sure what would be a valid reason to have the DA on back-order this long?? Anyone from Meguiars care to explain?

While I'm certainly not from Megs, you never know it could be something like a part made in Japan and the tsunami pushed everything back for months. I did see that ADS says they will be in stock on Nov. 3rd, so that is something.

I'm sure Meguiar's doesn't want to give up their share of car polisher market to Griot's Garage nor Porter Cable and they're working to resolve the problem with G110v2 availability.

Check out that clock ticking down at the top of this screen. If ADS is saying they'll have it in stock by Nov. 3, I'm guessing you'll be reading about a newer version once that clock reaches zero in a few days. Don't know why they discontinued the v2 so long ago, but maybe there was a serious defect and they decided to come out with an entirely new version with the defect resolved. Much easier to sell a new version of an item than to bring an old item back to market when people already have a bad taste in their mouth concerning the products reliability. That's just my two cents, but everything seems to be pointing to Oct. 31 as for when we'll hear about the future of the G110.

It they were made from parts from Japan that would be a good thing , unfortunately MOST are made in China.

I think there's a new D/A coming out based on the 2012 products blurry picture tease!!!!

Meguiar's just wants an improved and higher quality D/A out for the consumers. I'm sure they don't want to drag this long and lose potential business.

This means that people who waited and didn't jump ship to a different manufacturer will be rewarded. Patience is a virtue.

This is all speculation LOL!!!! I may be wrong!!! Hahahaha

The moderators lack of response on this issue speaks volumes about what to expect, there will be some new version announced at SEMA that they cannot discuss prior to that. Meguiar's has always put the customer first, to sit back and ignore this 'elephant in the room' of such a prominent part of their lineup being unavailable for such a long period cannot be due to anything else.

My guess is the DA Microfiber Correction system released earlier in the year (D300/D301) pushed demand well beyond expected supply, no surprise as those two liquids are phenomenal products. The countdown clock sits at 3.5 days right now, after that I am sure Michael Stoops and company will be pulling back the curtain on the posts they have already written announcing the 2012 lineup including the new polisher.

Andy - my apologies, I was not referring to enthusiast moderators like yourself but rather the Meguiar's employee moderators that would have taken a vow of silence on the upcoming products. I did not mean to insinuate you or Mark were remiss in your duties, if fact I think you guys do a great job of keeping the forum enjoyable, I was just trying to alleviate some concerns that Meguiar's is leaving customers in the cold with the lack of DA polishers. Hope this clears things up.

Ya know Shawn, your post has a lot of relevance. I'm sure Meg's has an improved version coming out, and that fact they will not say anything, speaks volumes. I will buy one immediately once they're released on Nov. 3.

I'm with the others thinking a better version is on the horizon. There were a lot of issues with V2. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they scrapped it for a new DA.
