I noticed in the Meguiar's direct website that the MSRP of the g110v2 increased from $176.99 to $209.99. What's the reason for this? Does this mean that the street price for the g110v2 ($149.99) will increase as well?
We've had a price increase across the board, averaging about 8%. As most of you know the prices on MeguiarsDirect are by no means the lowest you'll find since we can't really undercut our distributors, retailers, etc. We have passed along price increases on the wholesale side as well, but how a given distributor/retailer will work that into their final pricing is up to them.

A price increase does not really mean anything unless you have something to sell. Any idea when I can expect to see a G110v2 in stock someplace?
Also, an 8% increase is one thing, but the G110v2 went up closer to 20%. Did they make any changes or minor tweaks to the machine or to what comes with the product?
I will wait and see what the street price is, but I might have to re-think my plans.
^ yea...Griot's Garage is currently having 15% off & free shipping on all their stuff til Sept 21...just rec's an email from them!
I can get a GG6 for $110.49, the pads are 15% off too!

I just got the Soft Buff 2.0 7" pads. How well will these work with the GG6 and its standard backing plate?
Also, I got the Soft Buff 4" pads and the 3.5" backing plate. Will that fit on the GG6?
I am still leaning towards waiting for the G110v2 and seeing what the street price comes in at. I did not see the 15% off on the GG6, and when you get the HD cord, it is pushing $150.
^ think you need to sign up for email promos at Griot's garage
In anycase the email i rec'd said use code EMXBKB when checking out to get 15% off.
I heard the standard backing plate that comes with the GG6 will chew up the 7" megs pads...you will need the megs BP....think it's $25 at ADS
Yea, think the backing plates have the same thread size

At some point either the supply will increase or the demand will decrease to re-adjust the price. Also Meguiars as the manafacture has to be more expensive than any store they are sold in because it would make their distributors mad if they were undercut by the manufacturer, and Meguairs, I would guess, likes the distributors because they can sell large quantaties of product at one time rather than thousands of single sells. In reality Meguiars could sell the product for the least amount and make a profit as they are the one's who produce it but they need to stores to sell large quantities for them!
Meguiars have always sold outstanding products and have a very high quality standard. I'll wait for a G110v2 any day!
The big question is still when will they have something to sell. As I said, if you do not have anything to sell, the price does not really matter.
Any idea when the next G110v2 shipment will be arriving? In August it was 10 days, then September, now it says October. Is that a good date or just when to expect the next update?
Web site now says November. I do not know who makes these things for Meguiar's, but it sounds like they need to find a new supplier (or a new Procurement Manager).
I read somewhere (I wish I remember where) that the G110v2 wasnt out of stock but it had quality problems and was pulled from the shelves. They said it wouldnt be back in the marketplace until the quality issues were resolved.
Can anyone verify this or has read something similair?
