Okay. I need to order some new pads. Just a couple. I currently have the 7 inch softbuff 2.0 polishing pads but was actually considering going to the 4 inch polishing pads since my PC is not as strong as the G110v2. I plan to buy a g110v2 in the future but for now with the PC do you guys/gals think that the 4 inch may be a better route for a better cutting result with 105 and UC?

Re: 4 inch pads vs 7 inch pads
I have the same set up, first generation PC and 7 inch Meguiars pads. This combination works for me because I primarily work with semi-soft single stage paint so I don't need as much power. However, I have plans to order 5.5 Lake Country CCS buffing pads later this fall. This size pad comes highly recommended by Mike Phillips for the lower powered 1st generation PC. The concept is that the smaller pads compensate nicely with the lowered powered DA and step up the level of correction. I also have the 4 inch pads and they are very handy in the right situation but I don't think I would want to use them to correct an entire automoble. It simply would take way too long. The process is time consuming enough even with 7 inch pads. Have you considered the new MF DA's? They are 5 inch pads. I have these as well and I use them with same PC DA and they have not let me down yet. Just a thought.

Thanks for the input guys. As far as time I don't mind taking a bit longer as I have learned to cut time significantly in other areas. Those LC pads have me interested. For now I did go with the 4 inch as I tend to work without masking off areas (I've gotten quite good with that) and I think these will help me on the edges even more. Most of my clients are looking for spot correction on heavily damaged areas. I really do like what I see with LC though. Gonna have to save me some dough
