I bought the 7336 and I'm about to order everything, but I'm confused to know whether I need a backing plate or not. My PC came with a round thing which looks like one, so I figured it has one, I HOPE it has one >_< Thanks.

you do need the Meguiars backing plate. The easiest thing to do would just be to order the whole setup. What you think is a backing plate is actuallya sanding pad. The Meguiars backing plate is a hook and loop system.

Ah, I'm actually retarded, I should've just called the customer service in the first place like I did. Made my whole order through it also, and didn't have to pay shipping! Can't wait till I get all my goodies, hopefully it'll start getting nicer out.Comment

I did the same thing! Ordered my G-100 last Monday and got it Wednesday. Got it some 80 and 83 and and extra pad set and ultimate Bonnet and some Final Inspection! The only reason I knew it was a sanding plate is because I saw it at Lowes and it was advertised there as a sander!
