I will probably never regularly work on either mine or my wife's car . Occasionally I will do others . where could I get the my cars paint thickness measured periodically ? Is this something a shop would do ?
Do most hobbyist get this checked periodically ? How important is this for most of you ? Do you guys recommend getting a gauge , if so , point me in the right direction.
    Thanks

    Re: Paint thickness check

You can invest in a paint thickness gauge and probably save money over the long run. One of the lowest priced PTG's out there is the old Centech gauge that used to be sold by Harbor Freight. Nowadays you can find them for sale on eBay. See NIB Digital Paint Coating Thickness Gauge Meter, F&NF
