  • G110v2

Hi all- I just got a G110V2 and noticed that it vibrates A-L-O-T, to the point it is hurts my hand. Is there a possibility that the plate is not put on properly or something?

Sounds normal. D/A polishers do vibrate a lot and many beginners experience the throbbing hand syndrome. Use a firm grip on the polisher, but not a death grip. Be aware of how much pressure you are applying on the polisher's head and don't overcompensate. With time and a few more polishings you will find a comfortable balance and the vibrating and hurting hands will not be nearly so noticeable.

Also take note of the speed you are using. You should not be using anything past setting #5 if you are using foam polishing pads. Speed #4 if you are using the new microfiber pads (if you don't have these, you may want to order some. The drop in oscillation between setting 4 and 5 is palpable)

In the meantime, there's nothing wrong with polishing a panel and giving yourself a break to alleviate the pain.

You just have to live with the vibrating. That's the beat of a dual action polisher.

I don't think vibrating to the point of hurting your hand sounds right to me. Can you post a video so we can see/hear it?

hi mmike, i had the same problem and found out that if your pads are not centred correctly it increase the vibrations ten fold.
